Video Editing

Video editing is where my editorial instincts translate into a different medium, and where I really hit my stride is in the edit, taking raw footage, interviews, b-roll, and existing assets and shaping them into something people will actually watch. I approach each project the same way I’d approach any writing assignment: what’s the story, who’s the audience, and what’s the fastest path to keeping their attention. At Ivy Tech Indianapolis, I self-initiated and produced roughly 20 promotional videos for high-wage, high-demand career programs, handling scripting, shooting, and editing end to end. At ACUE, video work contributed to a 40% increase in YouTube watch time and 17% subscriber growth over 12 months.
